Our Child Care Philosophy
Integrated Education for Littles

Daycare Boise, ID
We’ll take care of your children like they’re our own. That’s the heart of our work. We take particular pride in the quality of care at Little Scribbles Learning Center, in how we look after the children’s physical and emotional needs, and in the care of our facility.

We want your children to have the best start they can have in life. To accomplish this, we do the following:
  • Keep our ratio of teachers to children low so each child can get adequate attention.
  • Lots of daily activities and crafts to help the children flourish. Reaching each child’s developmental needs with age-appropriate activities is as important to us as it is to parents. Keep a secure and clean building.
  • Provide healthy meals by using rotating weekly meal plans.
  • Make sure the children here have fun every day.

Most importantly, we will love your children like they’re our own.

Early Childhood Education in Boise: Preparing for Preschool

At Little Scribbles Learning Center we work on many skills that the Littles (children 18 months to 3 years) need to succeed, starting with small things like sitting and listening for increasing periods, which is taught incrementally beginning in the Babies Group.

By age two, children in our early learning program will have had instruction on shapes and colors, and some basic sign language. In time, the children will learn their ABCs.

We do several activities around each subject (ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes, sign language, etc.) including worksheets, packets, crafts, and projects. By teaching a subject in several ways, we give the greatest opportunity for our students to learn that subject. These activities make up the bulk of our daily activities.

We strive to cultivate active minds, open hearts, and readiness for the future.

Other activities we provide for two- and three-year-olds include:

  • Introducing or working on potty training.
  • Daily playtime.
  • Daily wiggle time. At our facility, wiggle time sometimes includes 15 minutes of screen time.

Infant Care at Little Scribbles Learning Center

An infant in our childcare program will be cherished. Daycare for Babies (0-18 months) is much less busy than it is for the Littles. Their days are spent much like they would be spent at home, including regular feedings, playtime in the baby play area, tummy time, and working towards their developmental milestones such as walking, speech, and honing fine motor skills. Babies will also spend some time learning to sit and listen for short bursts.

Our mission at Little Scribbles Learning Center is to provide your family with the best infant and toddler care possible. We work with children constantly to help them develop the skills and abilities they need in order to be ready for preschool and for later life, in a safe and supportive environment.
